Terms of Service
The following details our policies and procedures regarding back ordered items, refunds, and returns or exchanges.
Back Ordered Items
We strive to ensure that all items are maintained in stock; however, it is almost inevitable that at some point in time an item will become back ordered. If an order cannot be sent within 30 days after being received, it will be automatically cancelled unless customer approval is received.
Refunds and Returns
We will only process exchanges for the De Danann brand of Irish dance shoes. Please refer to the section on exchanges for De Danann shoes for more information.
All items (with the exception of De Danann Shoes) are sold "as is."
We work hard to provide accurate descriptions of all of the items offered. Please make sure to verify the size, color, and any other details related to your order prior to placing your order as we will not process refunds or exchanges based on these criteria. We will work hard to provide you with all requested details regarding a product and therefore hopefully alleviate any potential dissatisfaction associated with an item.
All orders are double checked prior to shipment to ensure that they do not have any defects, and are also randomly photographed as part of our fraud prevention program.

If an item arrives damaged, then the customer will need to contact De Danann Gifts within (3) days of delivery. De Danann Gifts will then work with the customer to determine of the nature of the damage. If the damage is due to a shipping issue, then the customer will need to file a claim with the shipping agent (UPS, USPS, FedEx, etc.). If the damage is due to a defect in the product then De Danann Gifts will work with the customer to process a return.
All other requests for refunds, returns, or exchanges will only be processed under special circumstances at the sole discretion of De Danann Gifts. Such special circumstances include if the item is determined to be significantly different from the description, or if the item arrives damaged to the customer's premise due to a defect. All requests must be received within (14) days after the order is received as determined by the delivery confirmation or tracking number from the postal service.
Items that are returned without approval from De Danann Gifts will be denied. In most instances, requests for exchanges that are not associated with a specific defect will be automatically denied. Some minor exceptions could potentially include Irish dance related items such as poodle socks that are in new unopened condition.
Approved exchanged or returned items are subject to a 15% restocking fee and the customer is also responsible for all associated incurred shipping charges. In some instances, the cost of shipping might be more than the customer paid as shipping fees assessed during the ordering process are often discounted from the actual costs incurred. On average, the additional shipping charges for packages shipped within the USA are approximately $15 per box when shipped via UPS.
For example, in order to process an exchange for a customer for a $100 order the additional cost that would be due to De Danann Gifts would be $30 and would include a $15 restocking fee plus $15 to cover the additional shipping costs.
Exchange Policy for De Danann Irish Dance Shoes
If you need to exchange a pair of De Danann brand dance shoes, then please contact us for further instructions and to obtain an RM number. We will gladly process exchanges for all of the De Danann brand Irish dance shoes as long as they are returned in the same new condition as received with no marks or other evidence of wear.
No re-stocking fees will be assessed for the De Danann brand Irish dance shoes; however, the return will still be subject to an additional shipping fee for postage. The shipping fee for exchanges is $5.00 for customers within the domestic USA and $10.00 for international customers. Alternatively, customers within the USA may also choose to have their exchanged shoes sent via USPS First Class Mail instead fpr $3.50.
The customer must contact De Danann Gifts within (5) business days after the shoes are received to obtain directions for exchanging the item; and the exchanged shoes must be received by De Danann Gifts within (14) days for domestic USA customers or within (30) days for international customers. It is recommended that all items that the shoes are sent with a tracking number as De Danann Gifts will not be held responsible for items that are lost or damaged in the mail.
Please note that this exchange policy is only available for the De Danann brand of Irish dance shoes and that all other brands of dance shoes are covered via our standard exchange policy. If the customer fails to include the return shipping fee with a proprosed shoe exchange then the item will be processed as a return for in-store credit only and a restocking fee of 25% will be assessed. An attempt will be made to contact the customer to rectify the situation if the return shipping fee is not received, however, after (7) days if the funds have not been received then the aforementioned actions will be initiated.
If the shoes arrive damaged then the customer will be assessed a restocking fee up to 75%, and due to the level of damage any refund due to the customer as an in-store credit may be forfeited. Instore credits expire after one year.
Customers who are ordering Irish dance shoes are strongly encouraged to contact De Danann Gifts with the measurement of the dancer's foot. The measurement should be performed on the largest foot by stepping on a ruler and measuring from the heel to the end of the toes so that the full length of the foot is measured to the closest 1/4th inch. All orders will be processed based on the information supplied by the customer. By sending the correct measurment with your order, the shoes sent should fit. Also, if you suspect that you might have a wide width foot, then please send the measurement for your foot width and we can check the shoe width for you. Most potential issues with sizing can be easily overcome by providing accurate measurements with your order. Not sure?
