Coupled with the serene sound of babbling water, you will find the image of the Green Man as he is so often portrayed throughout Europe. Found in many cultures through the world, this man who grows leaves, branches and vines for hair is frequently viewed as a symbol of rebirth, or the renaissance of growth that occurs with each spring. The sculpted water basin is rimmed with a flowing Celtic knot design. Framed within those same knots is the Green Man, with his wise features framed by the leafy foliage that forms his hair and beard, while his parted lips form the fountain from which the water spills, splashing down into a sculpted clam-shell basin beneath his chin, where it pools before spilling into the deeper bowl below. The whole of this piece is formed out of durable hand painted, cold cast resin that is skillfully crafted so as to leave the fountain seemingly created of stone. The fountain comes with a pump and an electric cord that is approximately 6 inches in length.
