Product Information

A handcrafted bracelete that features three large nacreous white beads which are held between four copper spirals. The remainder of the bracelet is decorated with more copper beads, glass pearls, and smaller versions of the irridescent white glass beads. The three white beads represents the Boann, the Dagda, and their son known as Angus mac ind Og. They are held within the wtery spirals of the river which is also a personification of the Boann and whose waters flow as a provider of life to the land; and the four copper spirals in themselves also represent the four points of the year. The Boann is often symbolized as a white cow and is sometimes known as the Mistress of the White Cow. Although often seen to be married to Nechtain who was a Celtic God associated with water and the sacred well of inspiration; she mated with the Dagda who is also known as the Good God or All Father and with him conceived and gave birth to Angus who was also known as the Young Son.
